“In yellow and blue colors, of course, it was beautiful, but you can see how rotten the bridge is,” one of the workers told Strana.ua. “Now they will apply a layer, and then they can paint it any color.” According to the craftsmen, the railings of all bridges in Kyiv will be repainted in the near future. It is not yet known what kind of paint will be applied over the gray anti-corrosion paint.
Traffic on the first lane of the Metro Bridge will be limited until April 30 due to sandblasting and painting of the railings.
