We are talking, in particular, about the Sevastopol Marine Plant, which belonged to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, as well as the passenger terminal of Belbek Airport, a network of gas stations and an oil depot, which were previously owned by the ex-head of the Dnipropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky.
“There is a direct instruction from the government of the Russian Federation to resolve this issue at the regional level, and the Republic of Crimea has already resolved it. We have property that was nationalized by Sevastopol, in particular a network of gas stations, Sevmorzavod. We must regulate the procedure for compensation, compensation for this property,” said Vice-Governor of Sevastopol Ilya Ponomarev.
On February 28, 2016, the government of Sevastopol proposed that the city Legislative Assembly approve a list of 35 objects subject to nationalization. Deputies refused to pass the nationalization law, then the government, by its decision, accepted into state ownership two large industrial enterprises, including Sevmorzavod, owned by Petro Poroshenko.
