Sevastopol Governor Sergei Menyailo ordered the demolition of all illegally installed advertising in the city.

“Tear down all advertising media that are on fences and retaining walls. As soon as possible. They shouldn't be there. They are not registered. Remove advertising media that are installed without permission. You will be monitored by social activists, to whom I will entrust this,” Menyailo said.

The governor also ordered to pay attention to the language of advertising, apparently meaning umbrellas and tents advertising Ukrainian beer. “Look at the names, in what language. In the campus, for example. They put up old, incomprehensible tents,” Menyailo said.

In 2016, the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of the Government of Sevastopol issued 62 orders for the dismantling of more than 400 structures.
