“Prepare an appeal to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak with a request that in resort regions where there is an increased threat to sanitary and epidemiological conditions, Rospotrebnadzor can carry out inspections more systematically. There should be protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, but there are areas where verification activities must be constantly carried out. Because the price of violations of sanitary and epidemiological standards is the life and health of a person,” Eremeev said.
He came up with this initiative after the head of the territorial department of Rospotrebnadzor for Sevastopol, Roman Proskurnin, said that inspections in Sevastopol are carried out only in agreement with the prosecutor's offices, at the request of the prosecutor's office, or by order of the government of the Russian Federation.
“Last week, on behalf of the Russian government, we inspected food facilities in areas with large concentrations of tourists. During the raid, we discovered restaurant facilities that fed up to 1000 children (organized groups), without having the necessary conditions for this,” Proskurnin said.
