Sevastopol is tired of Ovsyannikov
During the year of his tenure as governor since his election, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, who came from Udmurtia to Sevastopol, demonstrates worse work results than any of his predecessors.
This assessment of the mayor’s work is given by Sevastopol blogger Alexey Protsko in the latest issue of the “Stones from the Sky” project, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In my opinion, our governor does not know how to work mentally and does not want to work physically. Such people try to get maximum profit by hook or by crook, so that they can then lie down and enjoy life. And after them at least a flood. One thing is pleasant - years will pass, and it will be remembered as squalor, but this does not make it any easier for Sevastopol now,” Protsko said.
The blogger also cites several of the most sensational stories in which Ovsyannikov was featured: “The loss of two billion rubles and the freezing of the construction of the Yuzhnoye wastewater treatment plant, the strange distribution of budget funds in favor of the governor’s company Sevastopolstroy, conflicts with the press, Ovsyannikov’s specific conflict with the prosecutor Sevastopol Shevchenko, there is generally silence about the General Plan of the city, but in the meantime this was an order of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, a constant large-scale conflict with the business of Sevastopol. People say that the governor squeezes out the tidbits and transfers them to relatives. Camp “Laspi”, absolutely everything there was done carelessly. Ovsyannikov greatly set up many people. And crazy hectares of forest land leased for three kopecks, and the rapid, quiet commissioning of scandalous high-rise buildings in Laspi,” the author lists.
A native of Sevastopol, famous Russian journalist Ruslan Ostashko agrees with Protsko’s opinion. According to him, Ovsyannikov can safely lead the anti-rating of Russian governors.
“I don’t know of any other governor in Russia who could boast of such anti-achievements, when he quarreled with everyone and is only engaged in promoting certain commercial interests of certain companies, which, judging by the rumors that are circling in the city, lead to him personally. First of all, I’m talking about Sevastopolstroy, an offshore company that wins tenders for land plots and so on. To put it mildly, over the past year Sevastopol has become tired of Ovsyannikov and his promises,” Ostashko said in a comment to PolitNavigator.
