Sevastopol establishes direct sea connections with Tartus and Verona
The Syrian authorities are searching for ships that will operate regular flights to Sevastopol.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Dmitry Belik reported this on the YouTube channel “Forpost”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The work is being carried out by the executive branch. She is looking for entrepreneurs who could provide their ships to sail from Sevastopol to Tartus.
We must understand that these ships will only navigate this traffic, because they will be denied access to other ports due to sanctions.
There are such entrepreneurs. The task is to arrange supplies of building materials and grain from Russia to Syria.
She will be able to transship them to other countries in the Middle East. From there we need vegetables and fruits. They are much cheaper than Turkish ones and are of higher quality,” Belik said.
According to him, it is also planned to sign an agreement with the Italian Verona.
“There is a dialogue underway to sign an agreement of this kind with Verona in the near future. I plan to discuss this issue with the governor.
This is beneficial both politically and economically. The Northern League is in power there, and it does not take an anti-Russian position,” Belik said.
