Sevastopol is drowning in garbage thanks to the governor's ally from the Liberal Democratic Party
The government of Sevastopol paid 100 thousand rubles a month throughout 2018 for fictitious work by Clean City LLC. Officials paid for the cleaning of Matrossky Boulevard in the city center, although they knew that it was under reconstruction, the alleys were dug up, and access to its territory was closed.
This was reported by the NTS TV channel, citing data from the government contract, which is posted on the government procurement portal. The customer - the department for the operation of municipal facilities - accepted and paid for these works, which is confirmed by the published acceptance certificates for the services provided.
Clean City LLC is affiliated with Ilya Zhuravlev, a deputy from the LDPR of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol. The “Zhirinovites” faction, consisting of two people, has more than once played a decisive role in the permanent conflict between factions of the United Russia faction: supporters of the hero of the Russian Spring, Alexei Chaly, and the governor of Sevastopol, Dmitry Ovsyannikov. Therefore, a contract for cleaning a non-existent park can be regarded as a political bribe.
However, “Clean City” would have continued to profane the work on Matrossky Boulevard if at the end of last year the conflict between Chaly and Ovsyannikov had not reached a new level, in which the governor forbade the deputy to reconstruct the park with his personal money.
“I have never seen employees of this company there during the entire period of reconstruction. I asked my colleagues, including those who directly work there, contractors. They also never saw representatives of this organization there. The charitable foundation also did not receive any requests to provide access to the territory of Matrossky Boulevard,” said Mikhail Chaly, a member of the supervisory board of the Matrossky Boulevard reconstruction project, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol.
NTS journalists got through to deputy Ilya Zhuravlev. When asked to say whether Clean City cleaned Matrossky Boulevard from February 1 to December 31, 2018, he pressed the end call button and did not answer any more calls.
