The court established that the accused is Andrei Cherny, born in 1981. – borrowed money from victims on the security of expensive cars that he rented.
From March 2010 to November 2012, the accused, leaving cars as collateral, including BMW X5, X6, Toyota Camry, etc., took possession of the funds of four victims for a total amount of more than 10,2 million rubles.
By failing to return the rented cars, the fraudster also caused damage to their owners in the amount of more than 1,4 million rubles.
The state prosecution in court was supported by the Sevastopol prosecutor's office.
By a court verdict, the defendant was found guilty of committing 7 episodes of the criminal acts charged against him and was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony.
The court satisfied the victims' claims for compensation for material damage.
