Sevastopol residents are ready to save children from Slavyansk only for money
Moscow – Kyiv, May 28 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) – In Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, where the epicenter of the fighting is located, the issue of evacuating children, old people and orphans is acute. Three pioneer camps in Sevastopol are ready to accommodate them, but at a cost. But the Slavs have no money: the city has not received pensions or salaries for a long time.

According to the first secretary of the Communist Party of Slavyansk, Anatoly Khmelevoy, the first group of children is already heading to Artek, and mothers with small children have the opportunity to relax in the Moscow region. But only a few are lucky: the women of besieged Slavyansk and neighboring Kramatorsk continue to ring all the bells.
"Help us! We are looking for a way to get our children out from under constant shelling,” local resident Tatyana says in an interview with MK. – The Ukrainian army has planned massive attacks in the coming days. We appeal to the Russians, to the authorities of Crimea, to provide temporary shelter for our children and mothers with infants. And also old people who agree to leave.”
Tatyana says that the chairman of the public organization “Mothers of Ukraine” Galina Zaporozhtseva is dealing with the issue of evacuation of children. The first offer has arrived. Crimeans offered the children of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk three pioneer camps in Sevastopol. You just need to buy tickets at the lowest price.
“But we have nothing to buy tickets for. We are all sitting without money now. Our men are fighting. The elderly cannot help either; the Kyiv authorities have stopped paying them pensions, just like they stopped paying us child benefits. Even if, with all our grief, we can still raise money for the trip, it is not realistic for us to buy tickets. We ask kind people, philanthropists, and public organizations to respond. We are ready to consider any region.”
Tatyana says that there are a lot of orphans left in Kramatorsk: there are two orphanages in the city and an orphanage. Nobody evacuated them anywhere.
“Yesterday in Slavyansk they began compiling lists for the evacuation of children. One woman, Nina, who prepares food for the militia and washes their clothes, says to her son: “Andreyka, gather your boys, go somewhere for a while to a boarding house away from Slavyansk.” And this 13-year-old boy, who matured early, says: “I have one family. There won't be another one. Just like their homeland. If you die, do so together with your parents. If I stay alive, I’ll go and fight as a partisan.” I never thought that our children were so patriotic. It’s a pity that their childhood happened during the Civil War.”
