The party list was headed by party leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, curator of the LDPR in Sevastopol, State Duma deputy Roman Khudyakov, and only third place was taken by the head of the city branch, Igor Valis.

Thus, Zhirinovsky, it seems, will have to play the role of a “locomotive” - the well-promoted name of the politician allows him to hope to win several deputies.

In comments to Navigator, Khudyakov denied this version.

He believes that Zhirinovsky “will be happy to consider the issue if he is offered to head the legislative assembly of the city of Sevastopol.”

In addition, Khudyakov did not rule out a similar option for himself if he was elected. “If the LDPR party gets a majority here, and if my colleagues elect me as chairman of the legislative assembly, I will be happy to work here,” Khudyakov said.

However, on the sidelines, a member of the Moscow LDPR delegation presented the situation in a slightly different light. “The valiant United Russia members passed a law prohibiting party leaders from assisting their candidates in elections, i.e. Vladimir Zhirinovsky will not be able to come to Sevastopol and speak, for example, on television. To circumvent this provision of the law, it was decided to put Zhirinovsky on all lists,” he said.

Khudyakov believes that the LDPR has “a crystal clear and honest list of candidates that has passed the most severe check.” “We won’t have to blush for them, like other parties, the same United Russia and communists. We looked through the lists of candidates for Sevastopol at the Supreme Council three times. We don’t have people connected with criminal business who are protecting the business,” said the State Duma deputy.

By the way, current deputies of the Legislative Assembly Sergei Burshtein (head of the LDPR faction) and Sergei Nepran were not included in any of the lists of candidates for the September 14 elections.

Navigator’s source believes that the deputies are undermining the “image of the party,” but did not specifically explain what the deputies are accused of.

According to media reports, Sergey Nepran is the owner of the free advertisement newspaper “Courier”, LLC “Ukraine” for the manufacture and sale of yachts, motor boats, swimming pools, fireplaces, etc.

His political career began in the Yabloko party, then he was a member of BYuT, Strong Ukraine. In 2011 he joined the Party of Regions.

Sergei Burshtein is known as the “singing deputy” - he is the author-performer of his own songs and the general producer of the Chanson by the Sea festival, a former member of the Party of Regions. Shortly before Sevastopol became part of Russia, the PR entrusted him with escorting buses with Sevastopol volunteers to Kyiv in support of the authorities. However, one of the buses was shot at along the way and returned back to the city.

 So, the list of candidates from the Liberal Democratic Party looks like this:

  1. Vladimir Zhirinovsky - leader of the LDPR party;
  2. Roman Khudyakov – State Duma deputy from the LDPR; curator of the party in Sevastopol;
  3. Igor Valis – head of the Sevastopol city branch of the party, deputy of the Nakhimovsky district council, director of REP-2;
  4. Yuri Zhuravlev – deputy of the legislative assembly, director of the public utility company “Clean City”, which is engaged in waste removal;
  5. Viktor Lishchenko – party activist;
  6. Ivkin is a party activist;
  7. Alexander Parfenyuk – chief of staff of the Nakhimov administration;
  8. Alexander Didenko – party activist;
  9. Oleg Roslyakov is the head of the Sevastopol self-defense.

List by single-mandate constituencies:

District No. 1 – Yuri Moldavchuk – public figure, chairman of the Association of Associations of Co-Owners of Apartment Buildings (OSMD) of the Leninsky District;

District No. 2 – Oleg Roslyakov;

District No. 3 – Larisa Peredelina – employee of the Sevastopol fishing port;

District No. 4 – Konstantin Sviridov – public figure, poet, organizer of Crimean festivals;

District No. 5 – Sergei Zhivoduev, deputy of the legislative assembly, former chairman of the board of OJSC Sevastopolgaz; former deputy the head of the city administration during the time of Vladimir Yatsuba. He is known for opposing the installation of individual heating systems in apartments by citizens; LDPR coordinator for Leninsky district;

District No. 6 – Ilya Zhuravlev, deputy of the legislative assembly;

District No. 7 – Mikhail Britsyn – LDPR coordinator for the Nakhimovsky district, deputy of the legislative assembly, organizer of the “Russian March” in 2006; in 2009, Britsyn held rallies beneficial to the then administration of Sergei Kunitsyn. In 2010 he joined the Party of Regions. Participant in rallies for Yanukovych in Kyiv.

District No. 8 – Ernest Vafin, deputy of the Nakhimovsky District Council of Sevastopol, director of the Eurotrans private enterprise, which provides passenger transportation on the North Side.

By the way, eyewitnesses drew attention to the LDPR symbols placed on the party office in Sevastopol: the emblem contains a map of Russia, where both the hero city and the neighboring Republic of Crimea are absent. Obviously, the logo was approved back in the days when the peninsula was controlled by Ukraine, and Zhirinovsky’s associates did not get around to updating it.
