According to the press service of the supervisory agency, as a result of the inspection it was established that during the construction work carried out on the order of the tenant of the land plot, Nord-2007 LLC, violations of the law were committed.
In particular, three capital construction projects were erected without permits, two of which are located outside the territory allocated for the recreation center.
The prosecutor of the Balaklava district filed a claim in court to recognize three structures as unauthorized construction and their demolition. As a measure to ensure the claims, the prosecutor's office asks the court to prohibit construction work at the capital construction site until the case is considered on the merits.
In addition, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit in court demanding to oblige Nord-2007 LLC to conduct a construction and technical examination of the capital construction project.
In 2010, the Left Bank publication published information that the structures of Alexander Yanukovych purchased a recreation center on Aya in 2007 for 6 million 630 thousand hryvnia. The State Property Fund was then headed by socialist Valentina Semenyuk.
Before the sale, the base was state-owned and belonged to Ukravtodor.
In 2008, according to the publication, Yanukovych expanded his ownership: another 900 meters of beach, which previously belonged to a rehabilitation center for victims of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, was transferred to the privatized base.
The last Ukrainian governor of Sevastopol, Vladimir Yatsuba, refused to confirm information about the control of the presidential family over “Cape Aya”.
"I don't know. I didn’t sign the documents and I don’t know,” Yatsuba answered the reporter. “This is not the territory of Sevastopol, by the way,” the official added, speaking about the base at Cape Aya.
In July 2012, the Party of Regions, which has a majority in the Sevastopol City Council, expanded the territory of Cape Aya by another 5,8 hectares on the third attempt.
Then the leader of the Russian Bloc, Gennady Basov, tried to film on his mobile phone how a lady from the ruling party voted for herself and her neighbor in the front row. However, the attempt at fixation was immediately and strictly suppressed by the presiding officer, Yuri Doinikov. It turned out that it was impossible to remove land issues, since confidential information was being disclosed.
Access to the Cape Aya recreation center is closed to visitors even after the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
