“The issuance of a new registration certificate and license plates is free of charge on the basis of a Russian passport with Sevastopol registration, a previous document for the car and an old license plate,” he said.
The procedure also includes an inspection of the car on the site, after which you can remove and return the old license plates and receive new ones.
According to the head of the MREO, many motorists deliberately did not rush to receive numbers of the 777 series, which began to be issued on April 15, but waited for the “native numbers”.
This information was confirmed by car owners waiting in line for a new registration certificate and license plates. By the way, the queue is not scary, and more than 200 numbers are issued per day.
“In total, there are about 300 thousand cars in Sevastopol, of which 8 have passed registration,” said the head of the MREO.
In addition, until January 1, 2015, a free driver’s license is replaced.
“For this you need a Russian passport, an old ID, a medical examination certificate and an examination card that the person received when the previous ID was issued,” Semenov clarified.
To help the local MREO in Sevastopol, 14 colleagues from the Moscow region are working.
The leader of the group, deputy head of ATOR-1 UGIBDD of the city of Balashikha Vasily Piksaykin told Navigator that when selling a car, the license plate of the region is retained.
“The fate of the number may be inseparable from the owner - when selling a car, you can keep your license plate if you really like it,” he added.
Moreover, you will not be able to “select” a number. The license plate number is assigned automatically by the computer program. Also, individual numbers are not provided, as was the case in Ukraine.
