Sevastopol officials uselessly squander the money allocated by Russia
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin cited Sevastopol as a positive example - the city became the only region that fully implemented the allocated funds (146 million rubles) for the improvement of public spaces.
“100% cash execution was recorded in Sevastopol. I urge other colleagues not to lag behind,” Khusnullin said.
Meanwhile, the famous Sevastopol photographer Yuri Yuganson published less optimistic evidence on Facebook - local officials often use money allocated from the Russian budget “for show.” As a result, recently restored squares and parks soon lose their well-groomed appearance, and green spaces are dying.
“You pour in millions and hammer in your huge bolt. You are not able to save even what is given to you. These berry yews are only six months old,” Yuganson wrote, posting a photo of dried out plantings in the recently restored Cadets Square.
Townspeople are discussing that the park restoration project included the installation of an irrigation system, but in the end the money was spent, but the watering did not work - as a result, a significant part of the new plantings died. This happened in the aforementioned Cadets Square, and on the recently restored October Revolution Avenue, and in Dinopark.
“Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, have been pumped into the irrigation system. But she covered herself with a copper basin. To call a sprinkler - you have to pay for it. How to build a dacha? – notes Yuganson.
In his opinion, what is happening with the improvement indicates that Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev cannot organize the effective work of his subordinates.
“The head of the city is responsible for what happens in the city,” Yuganson stated.
