Sevastopol communists are confident that the city authorities failed nationalization
Sevastopol, March 11 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – Responsibility for the fact that the largest industrial enterprises of Sevastopol were not transferred to the ownership of the city lies not only with the head of the legislative branch Alexei Chaly, but also with the governor Sergei Menyailo. It was the governor’s fault that such a responsible event was organized so irresponsibly.

Secretary of the Sevastopol City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Vasily Parkhomenko stated this in an interview with the Sevastopolskaya Pravda newspaper.
“Why was this problem brought up so unexpectedly, urgently and without preparation, and who is more to blame for this: the Government or the Legislative Assembly of the city of Sevastopol? In my opinion, in the case under consideration, both the Government and the Legislative Assembly worked extremely disgustingly. I want to remind you that the previous Council, which everyone now curses, adopted a similar resolution, and 85 enterprises were taken into city ownership. There was not a single protest, not a single legal consequence after this, i.e. a legal precedent has been created. Moreover, I have repeatedly personally and from the rostrum of the City Council session, as well as during the election debates, addressed Mr. Menyailo, trying to find out what is being done to ensure that Severmorzavod is nationalized. He assured me that the work was in full swing and a legal justification was being prepared. And it turned out that only on the last day of February, in a hurry and without any justification, a decision was made to put this issue to a vote,” Parkhomenko said.
At the same time, he is sure, “there are more than enough justifications.”
“As far as I know, seeing the mess that is happening in Sevastopol, Moscow encouraged local authorities to deal with this problem, and the deadline was set: until March 1. But this opportunity was wasted. Honor and praise to Menyailo, who in the last minutes of the departing train, by his order (which significantly weakens the position of this document), nevertheless made a decision on one or two objects. I'm sure it will work and will work. As for the remaining objects, I can’t imagine how this issue can be returned to in order to resolve it in the interests of Sevastopol residents,” explained the leader of the Sevastopol communists.
