Thus, activists of various public organizations Ivan Komelov and Evgeny Bashalov filed two appeals to the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
The first of them is associated with the construction of a scandalous 16-story building on Cape Khrustalny.
Over the past week, signatures have been collected against the construction of this building. In total there were about 1800 signatures. A list of people protesting against the construction of a multi-story building near the monument to Soldiers and Sailors was attached to the statement.
In addition, public figure Ivan Komelov personally conducted a raid on the central city ring and identified about a dozen unfinished buildings that do not comply with the resolution of the Sevastopol City Council on limiting the number of storeys in the historical center. A request to conduct an inspection of these objects was also submitted to the senior assistant prosecutor of Sevastopol, Irina Orlova.
According to the law, applications will be considered within 60 days.
“We support the initiatives of our governor Sergei Menyailo. Most of the objects, at the moment, are indeed frozen. But we should not forget about those that were built earlier with violations. I hope that the new government will find the strength and will to dismantle them!” reports Ivan Komelov.
