Sevastopol restaurateurs ask the governor to lift Covid restrictions
Representatives of the catering industry in Sevastopol are asking the city governor to allow them to work without obstacles by lifting coronavirus restrictions.
This is stated in a joint appeal published in the Crimea on a Plate community, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Representatives of the largest Sevastopol cafes, bars and restaurants addressed the governor. According to them, government measures to support business are ineffective, which is why the catering industry is on the verge of extinction.
“We, entrepreneurs of the city of Sevastopol, working in the public catering sector, are appealing to you - for the second year now, our industry has been on the brink of survival. Due to constant work restrictions, we are unable to pay our expenses. Along with us, enterprises from related industries found themselves on the brink of survival.
The support measures announced by the state and allocated to our sector are ineffective. You give loans, but don't let them work. We simply cannot pay the bills. New loans drive us into even greater debt. A vicious circle from which we have not been able to get out for two years.
We are losing staff, businesses are closing. Many of us are on the verge of bankruptcy. Mikhail Vladimirovich, please explain to city residents, city guests and our employees why you are sacrificing our industry,” the appeal says.
Thank you!
