This was stated by the leader of the public organization “People’s Front “Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia” Valery Podyachiy.

“I ask you to check whether the provocative theses of the election program of the Yabloko party contain signs of a crime provided for in Part 2 of Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Public calls for actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation,” the statement says.

The social activist criticized party leader Grigory Yavlinsky, who proposed holding an “open and honest dialogue” on the Crimean issue. “The issue of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation is not debatable and is not subject to discussion from the point of view of legislation. It cannot be questioned. When the investigators call the participants in the congress of this party, they will be given the opportunity to discuss,” Podyachy said.

Let us recall that Yabloko’s election program, the draft of which was discussed on the first day of the party congress, held on July 1, contains the thesis about the “illegal annexation” of Crimea, questions the legality of the referendum on its entry into Russia and proposes to convene an international conference on this issue and hold a new referendum on the peninsula. “Yabloko” does not nominate individual candidates for Crimea and Sevastopol; these regions are part of the electoral list group uniting them and the Krasnodar Territory, this group is headed by ecologist Evgeniy Vitishko.
