According to Menyailo, according to his order, the developer was supposed to begin dismantling by May 10. However, the order of the city leader was ignored.
“Well, if so, I sent my people there. They are currently working on site. The house is being prepared for demolition. Of course, we will not perform the operation in a few days. But work is underway. I do not go back on my words. The high-rise building will be liquidated,” the mayor assures.
He also said that a prosecutor's investigation was carried out and numerous violations of the law were identified. The monitoring results were sent to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. In addition, a statement of claim has been filed in court.
“But we started dismantling the structure before the court’s decision. I have canceled all title documents issued to Mr. Sokolov by the previous composition of the city council. Our task is to do everything as quickly as possible. Because the longer the process drags on, the more hopes the entrepreneur has that he will complete construction and legitimize his facility. This won't happen. We already live in a different state,” Menyailo commented on the legal side of the issue.
According to the acting For the governor, a similar fate awaits construction on General Ostryakov Avenue (in the area of school No. 22) and in Victory Park.
“As for Victory Park, there is an intention to restore it within the boundaries that were specified in Soviet times. No residential construction. This is a place of rest, a place of memory,” said Sergei Menyailo.
