Sevastopol managed to avoid mass infection
Strict self-isolation measures helped Sevastopol avoid mass infection with a new type of coronavirus at the initial stage.
Acting Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev stated this on the STV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the official, the majority of Sevastopol residents comply with the self-isolation regime, so for now there is no point in extending it until April 30, as was done by the Crimean authorities. The high alert regime will tentatively remain until April 19.
“Thank God, the first line is negative, let’s hope that we will get multiple infections here. Although this could very well be reality, and this is the result of a violation of those regimes that we are talking about now, and which transferred the city into a complex mode of functioning of life...
Due to the fact that the majority of Sevastopol residents are now doing everything correctly, we are still sticking to the normal version and, in principle, if this continues, then nevertheless, you see that I am not extending the self-isolation regime until April 30.
It is clear that this week we have practically excluded the entire risk group that returned from abroad, this week I introduced mandatory observation for our Sevastopol residents, for those who are trying to come to Sevastopol from other regions, where now, according to the methodology of Rospotrebnadzor, the situation is the same, as before I was abroad – Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg,” Razvozhaev said.
