Vice-President of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine Anatoly Peshko stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “LOT”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

“I think that the calculations that were announced are approximately true. I would even say that, most likely, the blow to our economy will be more severe than $2,7 billion and proportionally 3 percent of GDP. In fact, the amount will exceed $3 billion, and this will hurt and have a very serious impact on the Ukrainian economy. In addition, I want to say that, despite the protests of the European Commission and some politicians in the West, all European companies are already preparing their gas transportation systems to increase pumping through Nord Stream 2,” Peshko said.
