Sergei Vinokurov, General Director of Sevtelecom, told reporters about this.
According to him, on September 24 at 17.55, Ukretelecom made attempts to “drop” first the Internet, and then the fixed line connection.
“There was an attack, but we preserved the core of the Internet and are ready to provide Internet services in the same volume that Ukrtelecom provided in the territory of Sevastopol. Of the 20 base stations, two are now up and six are in operation. It is planned that the work will be completed within a day and a half,” Vinokurov said.
He added that at the moment Sevastopol is completely independent of traffic from the territory of Ukraine. In addition, according to Vinokurov, Sevtelecom has been licensed under the laws of the Russian Federation and has its own IP addresses in Russia.
Speaking about tariffs, the director of Sevtelecom explained that during the transition period, Ukrtelecom's tariffs for communication services will remain with a conversion factor into rubles of 3,0.
