Season 2017 will bring death to redneck hotels in Crimea
Sales of tour packages to Crimea decreased by 30% compared to last year. Tour operators explain the decline in interest in Crimea due to bad weather, the “discovery” of Turkey and increased prices for air travel to the peninsula.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry (RST) Irina Tyurina.
“The trend cannot be reversed – it will almost certainly be like this all season,” she said.

The head of the NTV bureau in Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, draws attention to the fact that new or reconstructed hotels on the peninsula are still fully loaded with vacationers.
The decline in tourist flow affected, first of all, low-quality facilities, and this is a positive trend, Kryuchkov believes.
“In Crimea, they are discussing the message of specialized associations “about a decline in tourist flow to Crimea by 30%.” The reality is even worse. I only welcome such a turn. For three years, the Crimean tourism industry has shown its worth. Result: redistribution of flow from the South Coast towards Evpatoria, new strategies and tactics for the operation of large hotels, they were sold before October, and the death of redneck shamans, hotels and boathouses,” Kryuchkov wrote on his Facebook.
He believes that it’s time for Crimeans to stop waiting for easy money from unassuming holidaymakers and get a real job.
“How are people? It's time for people to start working! Yes Yes. After thirty years of idleness, go to the labor exchange. Your sheds with armored nets and toilets in the courtyards... tourists don’t need them anymore! The Tavrida highway, the Crimean Bridge, the airport and other construction sites are constantly recruiting general workers: we take more - we throw further!” – wrote Kryuchkov.
