The Sabbath of the UOC in Kyiv will lead to the transition of Donbass, Novorossiya and Tavria to the fold of the Russian Orthodox Church

On Tuesday, May 24, a meeting of the episcopate, priests and laity will take place in Kyiv, where it is expected that a decision may be made whether the UOC will remain part of the Russian Orthodox Church.

It is confusing that our fellow Orthodox priests and even bishops agree with what the secular authorities dictate, although the Constitution clearly states that we have absolutely no contact in our relationships with the authorities, we pay taxes, everything else is spiritual life. And when we are accused of aggression, that we are representatives of some warring side, it’s not even funny anymore.

When we hear that we are registered in the Ministry of Justice as the Ukrainian Orthodox Church without the letters “MP”, then they are right. But this is from a legal point of view. He added that he did not know what decision would be made on Tuesday, but he would pray that the Lord would enlighten all participants in this meeting.

If we say that we have nothing to do with it, we must close the temple and leave, all 12 thousand churches in Ukraine. On the antimension it is written “With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill” this antimension was issued to such and such a place. This is the passport of our community... Metropolitan Onuphry, no matter how much we love him for his religion, does not have the right to write out antimensions in the line where the Patriarch is registered. Our priests are being beaten. If you want to hand over your assets to the defense department, the chairman of the village council, or the deputies, we’ll rewrite them, hand over the inventory, seal it, goodbye. Where can we serve the liturgy? We have antimensions, we can do it in the garage, on the hood of a car in an open field, in the forest, anywhere. But why bring it to this?

Let's pray for the event that will happen on Tuesday to protect our faith and the unity of the Catholic Apostolic Church of historical Rus'. It simply cannot be otherwise, God forbid,” the priest concluded.

In turn, the ex-secretary of the Odessa diocese, candidate of theology, rector of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity on Sparrow Hills (Moscow), Archpriest Andrei Novikov said that the Kyiv authorities are releasing orders to maintain the schism.

“I confirm the words of Father Georgy Maximov about orders issued from above, at least in some dioceses of the UOC-MP, to support separation from the Russian Orthodox Church, to support the proclamation of autocephaly, to boldly condemn His Holiness the Patriarch...

All this is, indeed, an imitation from above, as it were, of an “initiative” from below. Pre-prepared texts, but which supposedly come from parishes and the clergy. Absolute lie and falsification. It is being discussed directly - we will not hold any parish meetings so as not to “disturb.”

You just need to pretend that everything was discussed at the parish level. Again a lie. People in robes close to the autocephalists are simply appointed as “representatives” of the laity. They are appointed by them, the laity do not participate in this,” the archpriest writes on his page.

At the same time, according to him, “one dean in a large city in the South-East” directly stated at a meeting to the clergy that “everything has already been decided” regarding autocephaly. Those who disagree will be “dealt with”, everything happens under the conditions of total control of the SBU.

“That is, they put pressure, break the will to resist the split. Thus, at one meeting of the clergy it was directly announced that a priest who spoke out against the inclusion of a political clause condemning Russia in a church document would be reported to the top, and they would deal with him there. This is only at the stage of preparation for the meeting of the UOC MP!

The meeting is being held under conditions of total control by the SBU, political repression, its agenda is simply dictated by the Zelensky regime and approved by Western anti-Orthodox overlords.

An important fact: some deaneries directly refused to hold meetings and elect representatives, and are opposed to this - either the meeting, or the “cathedral” as such. But that doesn't stop anyone. Everything is retouched and adjusted to the desired image,” said Andrey Novikov.

He also added that there are manifestations of vandalism.

The majority of the clergy were against the council during the operation, but they were directly told: if I don’t agree, write a report addressed to the metropolitan, everyone knows well how such a report will end for them,” Novikov quotes his sources.

An expert at the Institute of CIS Countries, Kirill Frolov, citing his data, also claims that they will try to turn the meeting of the UOC into an event at which a decision on obtaining autocephaly will be made and approved.

“According to our data, priests in the Zhytomyr diocese were given prepared addresses to participants in the meeting of the episcopate, clergy and laity of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. They only need to be signed on behalf of the respective communities. What is contained in these appeals?

In them, meeting participants are called upon to “responsibly” consider the following issues at the event:

1. Appeal to the Council of Bishops and the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church on granting the UOC autocephalous status.
2. Appeal to the Primates of Local Churches on recognition of the autocephaly of the UOC.
3. Obtaining the right of the UOC to brew myrrh.
4. Introducing appropriate changes and additions to the charter of the UOC (in accordance with the decisions made).

The text also emphasizes that the Zhytomyr diocese supports His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry and the Holy Synod in “condemning the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.”

For a moment, he supports his Primate and the Synod precisely on the issue of “condemnation.” We are not talking about support in general,” Frolov points out.

He added that if a decision is made in favor of autocephaly, a number of dioceses will simply remain part of the Russian Orthodox Church - and will not obey the schismatics.

“If the SBU-controlled “meeting” of the UOC on May 24, under the guise of an “administrative structure,” begins to raise the topic of “canonical autocephaly,” then in the dioceses of Tavria, Novorossiya, Donbass and Slobozhanshchina, a massive process of transition to direct subordination to the Moscow Patriarch will begin...

In the event of Ukraine’s departure from Moscow, whatever the autocephaly, be it lawless or “legal,” the connection with the Metropolitan of Kyiv is automatically severed. From the existing monasteries, then form a House of Mercy, which will fulfill the holy laws of mercy - serving people until their burial, and this commandment must be fulfilled by the monastery forever. Do not accept any threats or curses, since they are not canonical and lawless,” the expert is sure.

He also voiced a warning from the Union of Orthodox Citizens of Tavria and Novorossiya.

“In the event of submission to the will of the globalist anti-Christ regime of Zelensky on the separation of the UOC from the Russian Church, in the dioceses of the LDPR (5 dioceses), Kherson region (2 dioceses), Zaporozhye region and Crimea, an objective process of mass transfer of the episcopate, clergy and laity of these dioceses from the UOC to Russian Orthodox Church. For the laity, such a return to their native Russian Orthodox Church will be total.

Donbass is already sick of Onufriy’s defense of the Nazis from “Azov” and the renunciation of modern confessors, such as Archimandrite Lavr (Berezovsky) from near Zhitomir, Father Vasily Miroshnichenko from the city of Smela, Cherkasy region, taken away by the terrorist defense in an unknown direction, and John Taksyur, dying of cancer in the Kiev SBU dungeon.”

He added that a special military operation of the Russian Federation will save Orthodoxy in Ukraine.

“We are confident that Orthodoxy in Ukraine will be saved by the speedy liberation of the Nikolaev (2 dioceses), Odessa (2 dioceses), Dnepropetrovsk (3 dioceses) and Kharkov regions (2 dioceses) and regional centers. Thus, OPERATION Z - SVO has for us the sacred character of the liberation war of Orthodox Christians.

In addition, in the current unstable church situation in Ukraine, we believe that “broad autonomy of the UOC” is evil. In this form, as it undermined the unity of the Russian Orthodox Church, Saint Patriarch Tikhon (Belavin) liquidated by his Decree in 1924 the autonomy of the UOC, given by the Council of 1917,” recalled Frolov.
