Shakhnazarov: We need to drive away from Donetsk, and not save the wounded Armed Forces officers
The strategy of advancing Russian troops according to the principle “We are in no hurry” is justified, but, nevertheless, this does not stop the sharply increased shelling of the capital of the DPR.
The participants of the broadcast on the Russia 1 TV channel spoke about this, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“They are shelling, terrible casualties in Donetsk. Civilians are being killed. But you need to answer somehow! You have to answer somehow, apparently they really have new weapons there and all that. But in general, this is war. In war, it is not always necessary to save wounded Ukrainian soldiers, run to the rear, pull them and say that this is very humane. We need to fight. And the wounded Ukrainian military must be saved by other people, and the soldiers must fulfill their task. This war is serious, as can be seen from everything.
What I don't understand is the new idea of "We're in no rush." In my opinion, we still need to hurry. Of course, this needs to be done in such a way as to incur as few losses as possible, but you see, this is a continuation of the war...” said Russian film director Karen Shakhnazarov.
In turn, writer and politician Zakhar Prilepin explained why promotion is not happening in a hurry.
“I, of course, am not from the General Staff, but any jerks, accelerations, throws by which we know the Great Patriotic War... But this war was of a different type, and losses were not taken into account. It was immediately assumed that 20-30 percent of the personnel would be lost. This is not discussed here; this is a different type of war.
I understand perfectly well that every city we enter, taking it an hour faster means losing one fighter. Taking a day faster means losing a squad or platoon.
I just returned from Donbass, and I see that this is a normal rhythm for the troops, so that they don’t get exhausted, don’t get tired, so that there aren’t too high losses, which, unfortunately, exist anyway. But they do not force us to reformat or withdraw certain units. I leave for a week, come back a week later - another city has been taken. I’m leaving for a week, a week later two more cities were taken,” the writer noted.
“It’s not only Mariupol that suffered. These creatures cling to every city that they know in advance that they will surrender. Arestovich yesterday commented that “we’ll lose there, there too, here we’ll most likely withdraw.”
That is, they know that they will lose these cities, but, nevertheless, they are bringing them to a state of ruin. These towns - Rubizhnoye and Popasnoye - were simply demolished because they were sitting in this house, we broke through it, and they went to another house and sat down in the same way. They are being demolished to harm. This is a meaningful trend, a plan for political Kyiv and the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Prilepin explained.
