Shamanov does not exclude the possibility of deploying a parachute unit in Crimea

Simferopol, December 17 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – Commander of the Russian Airborne Forces, Colonel General Vladimir Shamanov, did not rule out the possibility of deploying a parachute unit in Crimea.

“Not yet, but I don’t rule out such a possibility,” Shamanov said on Wednesday, reports Interfax.
The commander also said that there are currently no plans to deploy landing units in the Arctic.
“The General Staff does not see the need to station our troops there on a permanent basis in the Arctic,” said Vladimir Shamanov.
