There are no chances: in Kyiv they told when and how Russia will take Ukraine
In the second half of 2020, Russia will launch gas transportation lines bypassing Ukraine and work out a “full-scale invasion of the Square,” which will significantly strengthen Moscow’s international position and give it additional leverage on Kyiv.
Kiev propagandist and military expert Alexey Arestovich stated this on the YouTube channel “Ukrlife.TV”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Caucasus-2020” is an exercise scheduled for September next year. These exercises, as is already known from the official statement of Ukrainian military intelligence, will work out the scenario of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This does not mean that they will immediately invade them. But this means that they come to operational readiness.
The solution to the gas problem coincides with this same time, as they believe - the ability to launch gas lines bypassing Ukraine. And this means that we are entering a red period, and the very fact of this readiness for war and gas will greatly strengthen Russia’s foreign policy position, and will be an additional instrument of pressure, even if the gas is not turned off and no military threat comes,” says the Kiev strategist.
Also, according to Arestovich, if war breaks out, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not even be able to respond to the Russian army.
“Russia maintains 4 armies on our borders, which in 2016 moved into an open field, into tents, and now have military camps, a deployment structure, and most importantly, they are being trained as fully ready units that do not need to be home-mobilized and further deployed. They can arrive in Chernigov in three hours. Three days to prepare, and then quickly arrive.
And our mobilization takes five to six days, no less. War is not about meters, but about rhythms. At the operational level, we need to win in rhythms,” the Ukrainian expert worries.
