No chance. Ukrainians are urged to prepare “for survival in this monstrous period”
Ukraine can take truly effective measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, but instead the country’s resources continue to be stolen.
Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on TV channel 112 Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is quite capable of organizing any quarantine measures; we have specialists in the field of public and civil security and the fight against epidemics. Do you know how many police officers there are in Ukraine? 130 thousand, of which 119 thousand are police officers. Do you know how many customs officers there are in Ukraine? It was possible to easily organize a high-quality, timely, safe reception of citizens with disinfection, ensuring at least home quarantine by the same police.
But what am I talking about if we have a little more than a thousand infectious disease specialists in the country who are not currently provided with the necessary uniforms and protective equipment. Infectious diseases! Once again, we have the ability to do almost everything, but we lack the desire and intelligence.
I would like to say something encouraging, but I have to confirm that the survival of Ukrainians is the business of the Ukrainians themselves. There is no need to rely on power. I’m very sorry, but we will need to give each other a helping hand and just get through this monstrous period, drawing conclusions for ourselves.
I look at what has been a week of the wildest, convulsive, irresponsible actions of the authorities and understand that there is no chance. There is no chance, they simply cannot provide security and adequate supplies. The responsibility of those who sold protective equipment and antiseptics and masks during actual mass diseases in the world, the responsibility of those who stole the state reserve.
Incredibly thousands of liters of antiseptic have disappeared in recent years. And no one will bring anyone to justice, because the last two heads of the state reserve are Abramavichus’ offspring.
