Shariy may repeat Vitrenko’s fate
The party of Anatoly Shariy can overcome the entry barrier in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada, but its result will most likely be “cut down” through falsifications during the vote count.
Political scientist Denis Gaevsky stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In my opinion, Sharia’s party has a good chance of overcoming the 5% barrier. The biggest risk I see is that they can be cheated at the commission level,” says Gaevsky.
Political scientist Valentin Gaidai, who was present at the press conference, did not agree with him, calling the data on Shariy’s high popularity too optimistic.
Earlier, political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated that Shariy’s project could be financed by the circle of oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, in particular, by Dnepropetrovsk deputy Alexander Vilkul.
Shariy himself rejected this information, claiming that it was being disseminated by representatives of Viktor Medvedchuk’s party.
