Shariy exposed Ukraine's lies about the disaster in the north of Crimea
A US Department of State-funded unit of Radio Liberty called “Crimea. Realii” was in such a hurry to earn a rating on the topic of an emergency with chemical releases in Armyansk that it published unverified information about terrible discharge on the skin of local residents.
The “duck” was planted on the anti-Russian media by blogger Anatoly Shariy, who simply dipped his hand into the borscht, filmed it and sent it to the editorial office of “Crimea. Realities." Ukrainian propagandists took everything at face value and published a video with further evidence of the “horrors of the occupation.”
Shariy clarified that the video was sent from a fake account on a social network, where the avatar featured a photo of the sister of former US President George W. Bush named Dorothy.
“The main thing for the guys is not to get to the bottom of the truth, but more hype. To “Crimea. Realii" published: "Attention, if you are in Armyansk, please send us a video." We created a page, Elena Shestopalova named it. Sent it to them. Sent a video. They told us where we lived and wrote down what to do. They didn’t start to wonder whether we are real people, not real ones. They simply said where to send it, “thank you very much,” “letter received.” So that you understand what kind of photo we used in our profile - this is Dorothy Bush. It didn’t take much, they didn’t need to check anything, they published it right away. I checked, there are already over 100 retweets. And further discussion, they didn’t even question what I sent them. They suck up everything that is suitable for hype. What's wrong with my hand? I put it in borscht. Sorry, it’s so rich and fatty,” Shariy said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that exactly actions of Ukrainian oligarchs led to the release of chemicals into the atmosphere at the Crimean Titan plant in Armyansk and a subsequent environmental disaster in the north of the peninsula. According to social activist Gennady Sivak, the situation could be corrected resumption of water supply through the North Crimean Canal.
At the same time, residents of the Crimean regions afraid of getting caught in acid rain after the emergency in Armyansk and demand clarification from the authorities.
