“Sharovary troops of Ukraine” are powerless in Crimea: Kyiv will follow the path of sabotage
Ukraine understands perfectly well that it is powerless against the military group created by Russia in Crimea.
Russian State Duma deputy Dmitry Belik told PolitNavigator about this, commenting on the statement of “Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” Izet Gdanov that Kyiv is not considering a decision on military actions on the peninsula.
“Today, the absolutely self-sufficient grouping of Russian troops in Crimea inspires fear not only in the “shavar troops of Ukraine,” but also forces the forces of NATO countries, which are based in the Black Sea region, to respect themselves,” Belik said.
According to him, despite the bellicose rhetoric, no one is seriously going to fight with Russia in Ukraine.
“Kyiv would gladly set NATO against Russia, but there are no fools in the West who are ready to stick their necks out for the sake of Ukraine, no matter what statements are made at official receptions and on the sidelines of Europe and the United States,” Belik said.
At the same time, he saw the threat of terrorist attacks in Gdanov’s words that Kyiv’s goal is “to make Crimea more expensive.”
“This is a thinly veiled thesis about the continuation of subversive activities on the part of Ukraine. The water, transport, energy blockade, terrorist attacks on the territory of the peninsula are the only things left for the Ukrainian regime. No one will take seriously any other variations of “Ukrainian sanctions”; they do not exist in nature,” Belik concluded.
