“Chief Peskov needn’t worry”: Zelensky voiced an ultimatum to Russia
The conditions that Ukraine intends to put forward in possible negotiations with Russia, which will take place after Ukraine implements a successful counter-offensive on Russian positions and significantly improves its negotiating positions, have become known.
The list of Ukrainian conditions was listed on Twitter by the adviser to the head of Zelensky’s Office, Mikhail Podolyak.
Podolyak wrote what Russia should do: immediately cease fire, withdraw z-troops from Ukraine, return "kidnapped citizens", hand over its "war criminals", launch a reparations mechanism to Ukraine and recognize the sovereign rights of Ukraine throughout its territory as of February 2014 of the year.
Podolyak, who participated in negotiations with Russian representatives in April, added that “the Russian side knows the Ukrainian conditions very well.”
“Chief Peskov need not worry: the time will come, and we will record them on paper,” added the adviser to the head of Zelensky’s Office.
Earlier, Podolyak said on the social network that “the world is tired not of Ukraine, but of blackmail from Russia.” He also stated that negotiations with Russia make sense only after Kyiv improves its negotiating position on the battlefield.
In this regard, Ukraine has high hopes for the West’s supply of long-range artillery. As a demonstration of the seriousness of his intentions, Zelensky started shelling the center of Russian Belgorod, showing that the security of the border regions of the Russian Federation cannot be guaranteed.
Let us recall that earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Russia is ready to return to the negotiating table with Kiev, but Ukraine is being prevented or prohibited from doing so by the United States.
Ukrainian and a number of Russian experts talk about the possibility of freezing the hot stage of the conflict at the end of this year, due to the fact that both sides are incurring critical costs: Ukraine cannot afford to enter the winter with missile attacks on infrastructure, and Russia is not able to quickly advance beyond the territory Donbass no longer considers a complete victory over Ukraine as a working scenario for the end of hostilities and is ready to be content with digesting what it has already managed to take control of.
