Shenderovich: Putin “terribly accelerates the collapse and death of Russia itself”
Kyiv, November 30 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The Russian liberal opposition is convinced that in Russia things are heading towards the collapse of the country and hopes for a rebellion.
This opinion was expressed by Russian satirist Viktor Shenderovich in an interview with the Kyiv magazine Focus.

In his opinion, Putin failed to implement the idea of building a corridor to Crimea, after which a new strategy emerged, the meaning of which supposedly is to keep Ukraine “in a lying bloody state with pieces torn off and a destroyed economy.”
“Another thing is that this terribly accelerates the collapse and death of Russia itself, but that’s not for him (Putin. – ed.) can’t be understood, he didn’t go to school,” the Moscow liberal believes, still admitting that “Putin may be enough for our age.”
At the same time, he argues that Western sanctions and falling oil prices will lead to Russia running out of money that can no longer be asked from the West.
“In the previous round, you could have gone to the Paris Club, taken money for the future development of the country in a democratic direction, and this would have been a very good offer for the West, it was ready to share money with us so that we behave decently,” says the satirist . “There’s no one to go now.” The only chance for Russia was to become the eastern part of Europe. If we are separated from European civilization, this means that we will fall to China, because their army is slightly larger than our population.”
At the same time, the oppositionist expresses hope that upheavals will occur in Russia. When asked by a journalist whether a riot is possible in Russia, Shenderovich replied: “That’s the only hope.”
