Shenderovich nominated Pugacheva for president and Galkin for first lady
Fugitive satirist writer and foreign agent Viktor Shenderovich believes that pop singer Alla Pugacheva, popular in the last century, would be an ideal presidential candidate from the united opposition “beyond the aesthetic assessments of her work.”
He stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel of oligarch-foreign agent Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The idea is actually sound despite all the paradoxes. It is in countries where the wheel of democracy is rolling that economic programs and other details are important. In our case, when it’s just the Gulag, unfreedom, slavery, Asianism, we need a symbol, not an agenda of the 90s. Today we are talking about returning to freedom. Alla Borisovna as a symbol of freedom, not Putin, not war, not something human, loved and dear, like a bond, in the end.
I think that after the death of Zhvanetsky and Vysotsky, only Pugacheva symbolizes some unity of tens of millions of people in Russia. Pugacheva is quite a symbol of freedom today,” Shenderovich said.
He believes that Pugacheva would become a worthy analogue to the self-proclaimed “President of Belarus” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
Previously, Latvian singer Laima Vaikule nominated Pugacheva’s husband, foreign agent Maxim Galkin, for president.
