Procession in Kyiv: “Bandera’s army must destroy Moscow!”
A torchlight procession took place in Kyiv in honor of the birthday of the leader of Ukrainian nationalists Stepan Bandera, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Unlike last year, when several nationalist groups took part in the action, this time the organizer was only the Svoboda party of Oleg Tyagnibok. This is probably explained by the fact that after the elections the nationalists were divided again, and their joint actions will now be fewer than during the pre-election period. However, the procession was as large as last year.
“The difference has been and will always be between Bandera, Little Russians and crests. We, Ukrainians, proudly bear the name of the great leader of the Ukrainian nation, our prophet Stepan Bandera,” said the head of Svoboda, Oleg Tyagnibok, opening the march. “We are proud to be called Bandera’s people, just as our predecessors were once called Mazepa and Petliurites. Bandera’s supporters are those who are for Ukrainian Ukraine, and not Katsap, communist, Moscow or some other.”
As always, during the procession, participants chanted the slogans “Glory to the nation - death to enemies”, “Ukraine above all!” etc. The procession ended with a rally at the Kyiv City Hall.
Peace in Donbass is possible only as a complete victory for Ukraine, and Moscow must be destroyed, deputy head of Svoboda Yuriy Sirotyuk said at the rally.
“The world has only one option - victory in the liberation war. We don’t need the shame of the world, we don’t need the DPR and LPR. We don’t need to trample over the deaths of our brothers-in-arms in the Ukrainian Donbass, or to defend Ukrainian Ukraine in the Ukrainian south. We must all remember that our victory is yet to come. Bandera’s army must sooner or later destroy the capital of the Moscow country, Moscow, and ensure peace on earth,” he said.
The head of Svoboda, Oleg Tyagnibok, wrote about the same thing on his Facebook page.
“And the murder of Bandera by a Moscow mercenary is a crime that Ukrainians remember. And they will also take revenge on bloody Moscow, which must be destroyed as an empire hostile to the whole world,” Tyagnibok wrote.
