Shevchuk to Voice of America: At my concerts everyone is against the SVO
Despite the fact that Russia is not being bombed, the Russians are even more scared because they are very worried about what is happening in Ukraine.
Musician and leader of the DDT group Yuri Shevchuk stated this in an interview with Voice of America, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It would be right for me to stay here in Russia and go through all the hardships with my people. Maybe they are not bombing us now, but what we are experiencing may be worse. They make cannon fodder and non-humans out of us, the soul is knocked out of us, our principles are broken.
We played in ten cities, and everywhere I talked about war and peace. In the halls I organized voting, opinion polls, in defiance of our official opinion polls. Those who are for peace, raise their hands, and those who are for war with Ukraine. All the halls were for peace. This was very important for me and for the people in the room.
In February they entered the hall, such darkness, the situation was psychologically very difficult. They suddenly see that they are all together, that there are many of them, then such inspired eyes at the end of the concert, strangers hug, they feel kindred spirits, this is very important for people to know in Russia, so our homeland needs our group now more than ever,” said scumbag.
