Catalonia is not yet dead: Russian general predicts terror or war for Spain
The independence movement in Catalonia is reminiscent of Ukrainian separatism and nationalism. Lieutenant General of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Leonid Reshetnikov stated this on air on the Tsargrad TV channel.

“We feed Spain, we are rich, we work. Catalonia has not yet died. If we free ourselves from these damned Spaniards-Muscovites, then we will live brilliantly,” Reshetnikov recalled about the parallels with Ukrainian independentists.
He also compared the events in Catalonia with the Ukrainian Euromaidan, which led to civil war.
“Now they have a typical Maidan. Ukraine and Spain are striking examples of orange revolutions. If now the central government suppresses this movement (and it has no other choice), then we must expect from the suppressed movement, if not civil war, then mass terror,” Reshetnikov said.
He believes that the idea of separatism was introduced into Catalonia, as well as into Ukraine, from the outside.
“It looks like they just had an ideology written down. This technology has been implemented not for two or three years, but for decades. In the same way as it was introduced into the brains of the Ukrainian population. On the one hand, what Catalonia is doing is stupidity and stupidity. But I want to say about Madrid: they taught us about democracy, supported sanctions against us both in Crimea and Ukraine. Now where is your democracy? You can't do anything other than clubs and stupid actions. This is very instructive,” Reshetnikov said.
