“Big Ukrainian” Zhan Belenyuk was caught in a terrible fight in an embrace with Skabeeva
The Ukrainian leadership should call on the carpet Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Servant of the People party, athlete Zhan Belenyuk, for having previously been photographed with Russian journalist Olga Skabeeva.
The journalist announced this in her Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It would be fair to summon People’s Deputy Zhan Belenyuk to the Ministry of Defense. Look, what a rage,” Skabeeva wrote, publishing the corresponding photo.
The Russian journalist made such an ironic proposal after the Ukrainian athlete and bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics forced to humiliatingly apologize for a photo with a Russian athlete.
However, the Rada deputy did not wait for problems to begin and immediately disowned all accusations.
“Firstly, I don’t know who Olga Skabeeva is, since I don’t follow the context of political events in Russia, so I’m not interested at all, to be honest. Secondly, I am a famous athlete, anyone can come up and take a photo with me. I'm walking down the street and a lot of people are taking pictures with me. Should I ask everyone who they are, where they come from and what they do?” – he told Kyiv journalists.
It is unclear how Zhan Belenyuk managed to “not notice” the journalist’s accreditation badge and the microphone of the Rossiya 1 TV channel, which was in the hands of Olga Skabeeva at the time of the photo.
However, the deputy assured that he is a “true patriot” of Ukraine and does not pay attention to those who write something about him.
“What people write who set themselves the goal of writing something doesn’t interest me, I’m used to proving it with my deeds, showing the results, who is worth what,” he summed up.
Olga Skabeeva commented on the deputy’s excuses in her blog.
"One out of two:
Or Zhan Belenyuk was afraid of lustrations, so he’s lying.
Or Zhan Belenyuk is an idiot, then what is he doing in the Rada.
What's worse, I don't know for sure. But for trying to save his skin, the “famous athlete” receives a medal,” she wrote.
It is interesting that immediately after this story, Zhen Belenyuk tried to provoke a “racist scandal” by reporting that he was allegedly insulted by some unknown chauvinists in the center of Kyiv.
“A few minutes ago, young people unknown to me approached me in the center of Kyiv and tried to provoke a conflict! Shouting offensive things like “does the black monkey know something about patriotism?!” and “go to Africa!” But, thank God, it didn’t come to a fight, so everything is fine with me, but...
-
I’m wondering if I am Ukrainian for my country, what criteria of patriotism exist in it?
-
How safe can an Olympic champion feel in his homeland and hometown?
-
And is it normal in a European country for people who sacrifice their lives to glorify it to hear offensive things?” – the deputy wrote.
Thank you!
