What to say: Saakashvili is no longer a great reformer, but a bloody tyrant
Mikheil Saakashvili, as president of Georgia, was remembered for the brutal dispersal of rallies of his opponents in Tbilisi, accompanied by casualties.
Speaker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Artem Shevchenko stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, the Ukrainian police do not take harsh measures against Saakashvili’s supporters, while during his presidency the Georgian security forces did not hesitate to beat protesters.
“We remember very well the terrible crimes of the previous government on the streets during the winter of 13-14. We also remember very well similar, if not more, well, perhaps a little less criminal actions of the Georgian authorities in May 2011 on the streets of Tbilisi and November 2007 on the streets of Tbilisi. When, during the dispersal of peaceful protests, dozens of people were very brutally maimed, and some were even killed. We will never act in this way on the streets of our cities,” Shevchenko said.
