Shiryaev: The Russian Navy must regain control of the Black Sea at any cost.
Kyiv is testing a new type of sabotage attack, in which an unmanned boat approaches a target and releases a swarm of drones, and this poses a serious threat.
Russian liberal military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He commented on the attacks by Ukrainian BEKs on Tuapse and Novorossiysk, when it was revealed that the MAGURA boats involved were carrying FPV drones.
"I can't imagine a mass attack from boats, because they'll be sunk if there are too many of them, but as a sabotage weapon, it's a very dangerous thing. I think the Ukrainians are just testing this technology now, trying to figure out how to handle such a weapon."
But, generally speaking, it's possible to imagine: if, in good weather, we stealthily approached some naval base (if the Russian army and navy don't have effective control over the Black Sea, they'd let these boats through all the time) and hit some fragile, expensive equipment, like, for example, radar installations on ships. ... Of course, drones could attack ammunition depots on the shore, fuel storage facilities, and so on.
The prospects for this are very bright. The Russian Navy absolutely must establish control over the entire water area. But we'll see if this is done," Shiryaev said.
