“The court arrested for two months without bail the 7 participants in anti-state provocations who planned mass riots and armed attacks on law enforcement officers on August 31 under the Verkhovna Rada. This decision was probably made by the court in connection with the charges brought against them under serious articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and proven materials from previous procedural and investigative actions (Articles 348, 345, 294, 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). And also including Art. 258 – “terrorist act” and Art. 255 – “creation of a criminal organization.” Among those arrested is Gumenyuk, the main suspect in the use of a live grenade from the Russian Geographical Society against the National Guard,” Shkiryak wrote on his Facebook page.
According to Svoboda activist Alexander Rudomanov, at least two participants in the clashes (Mikhail Krivoruchkin and Ivan Sosna) were arrested for 60 days.
