According to Nitsoi, at the gymnasium for wealthy children, Nitsoi’s son was disliked by children because of his nationalist ideology, which he shares, like his mother.

“Who is Bandera? - What are you doing with your bandera? – Who is Shukhevych? - “That’s just one more.” That's the attitude there. That’s the style there,” Nitsoi laments.
