Announcing the new film, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in an interview with journalist Vladimir Solovyov, emphasized that the film reveals details of not only the death of Peshkov, but also the operation to rescue navigator Murakhtin, which was carried out promptly and professionally. “This film is based on absolutely real events. We all understood that, imagine that tomorrow the country turns on the screen, and there are our guys who have fallen into the hands of these bandits. You can imagine what will happen in the country, in society. Of course, this was an operation where everyone showed their best. This is a story that speaks volumes for today.
Firstly, that we have prepared quite well and thoroughly for this operation, that, despite all the difficulties, we can take care and ensure, to the maximum extent possible, the safety of the guys who are fighting there.
