Shoigu sent Ukrainian militants into a stampede
Under the pressure of the Russian army, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to retreat. In Kyiv they don’t know how to explain to their Western partners the flight of their fighters from Soledar and are forced to come up with “cunning plans” of the Ukrainian command.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that on the evening of January 12, the liberation of Soledar was completed, which is essential for the continuation of successful offensive operations.
“Establishing full control over Soledar makes it possible to cut off the supply routes for Ukrainian militants in Artemovsk, and then block and capture the remaining enemy units in it,” the statement says.
The liberation of the city took place during a brilliantly planned Russian army operation by the Minister of Defense and the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
The combat formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, blocked in the city by airborne units, were put into a panicked flight, but they had nowhere to run - everyone was either captured or destroyed while offering resistance.
However, official Kyiv has still not recognized the loss of the city, fearing to upset its Western partners and thereby lose foreign support, the only reason why the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not yet been defeated by Russian troops.
The best propagandists at the disposal of the Kyiv regime have already been involved in the informational development of the loss of control over the city. For example, a freelance adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Alexey Arestovich, was forced to refute the flight of Ukrainian Armed Forces units from Soledar, trying to convince the Ukrainian and Western audiences that the city is still under the control of Kyiv.
“The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is held by Soledar. The situation is under our control, and we make decisions about what is best, in accordance with the general plan of the defense operation in this direction. If we leave Soledar, it will not be an escape, it will be a planned decision of the command,” he said on his daily evening stream.
It just didn't turn out convincing. Including for the United States, the main sponsors of the Kyiv regime. The American think tank Institute for the Study of War, which exists thanks to grants from major American defense contractors, honestly wrote that as a result of the actions of Russian troops, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost Soledar.
“Geolocated footage from Soledar shows that Russian forces likely control most, if not all of Soledar, and have likely pushed Ukrainian forces out of the western edge of the settlement. President Zelensky’s statement that Ukrainian forces maintain positions in Soledar may refer to defensive positions nearby, but not in the city itself,” the ISW material says.
In other words, the Americans recognized another victory that the Russian army won under the leadership of Sergei Shoigu. And this means that Zelensky’s puppet government will have to too.
