The minister also announced the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of the Northern Military District.
“The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces exceeded 383 thousand military personnel killed and wounded, 14 thousand tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, 553 aircraft and 259 helicopters, 7,5 thousand field artillery guns and MLRS.
Ukraine has carried out 9 waves of mobilization, the 10th is ongoing. Currently, those with limited fitness for military service are also being drafted,” the head of the ministry emphasized,” the minister said.
Separately, he pointed to losses among foreign mercenaries.
“Over 5800 militants were destroyed, including 1427 from Poland, 466 from the USA, 344 from Great Britain. 103 war criminals who showed particular cruelty were eliminated on the territory of Ukraine,” Shoigu added.
