Shoigu promised “adaptation of carriers to any type of weapon”
It makes no sense for Russia to create a new plane or ship for every missile developed by the West, but one launcher is needed for everything.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a big, serious prospect ahead. It’s like in the Olympic Games – faster, higher, stronger. Naturally, in our future, and not too distant, this is an increase in the range of hypersonic weapons, an increase in speeds, if we talk about the same hypersound, this is, of course, an increase in accuracy. This is the adaptation of carriers to new types of weapons,” the minister said.
“We cannot make a new plane or a new ship for every rocket. We have to make sure we have one launcher for everything. This work is underway, and today we not only have something to show, but we have something to protect the country,” Shoigu said.
