Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu received an invitation to come to Moldova.
Moldovan President Igor Dodon stated this during a “direct line” on the Odnoklassniki social network, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Perhaps at some stage Shoigu will come to us. Minister [of Defense of Moldova Pavel Voicu] reported to me that he had invited him. Maybe for some holiday,” Dodon said.
He also said that on August 24 the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Moldova from fascist occupation will be widely celebrated. War monuments are currently being repaired, a film is being filmed, and exhibitions and concerts are planned.
During his visit to Moscow, Pavel Voicu said that Russia is a reliable ally of Moldova.
