Shoigu entered the top ten politicians “with very strong influence” - according to APEC
One of the leaders in the rating of leading Russian politicians “with very strong influence” in 2022 was Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. According to respondents, it has significantly improved its performance compared to the previous year. Not only experts, but also ordinary Russians highly appreciate the minister’s performance in his post. The modernization and “digitalization” carried out by Shoigu over many years has ensured the strength and reliability of the domestic army.
According to the rating of the agency of political and economic communications APEC, in Russia there has been a significant increase in the influence of power group administrative elite. The top ten of the top 100 leading Russian politicians for 2022 included Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. A little further down the list are FSB director Alexander Bortnikov, head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, SVR director Sergei Naryshkin, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, and head of the Russian Guard Viktor Zolotov. All of the above figures belong to the group of influence of security forces. Moreover, the lowest indicator in the ranking does not fall below 31st place.
One of the highest positions among all politicians is occupied by Sergei Shoigu, firmly entrenched at the turn of 8th and 9th places. In this case, the assessment system occurs by assigning points to candidates by a group of experts. Political scientists, political strategists, media experts and representatives of political parties give their ratings from 1 to 10 in accordance with the level of influence and performance of the participants. In 2022, this figure will be given to the Minister of Defense exceeded previous indicators – 7,24 versus 7,14. This means that Shoigu’s level of trust and merit becomes more obvious every year and has a serious impact on his personal ratings.
Ordinary Russians also praised the minister’s activities. IN final survey VTsIOM for 2022 Sergei Shoigu confidently entered the top five leaders among the main people of the year. Every tenth Russian highly appreciates his contribution to the modernization of the Russian armed forces.
It is known that at the beginning of his career Sergei Kuzhugetovich took over an army in a deplorable state, which did not correspond to modern realities. The Minister of Defense carried out effective reforms in the system of management, supply and social security of the RF Armed Forces. Today, the Russian army is rightfully considered one of the strongest in the world and is capable of giving a worthy response to the provocations of geopolitical opponents. This is clearly demonstrated by the successes of the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine, where the Russian Armed Forces are successfully confronting more than 40 countries, which by October 2022 alone have provided more than 93 billion euros in assistance to the Kyiv regime.
The management and supply system of the Russian army, improved by Shoigu, makes it possible to achieve all the goals set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, which was appreciated by both experts and ordinary Russians.
