About it reported on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office.

It is noted that the helicopters “proved to be unsuitable for use for military purposes and, due to their technical condition and equipment, cannot perform their intended tasks at all.” At the same time, the specified helicopters were accepted into operation by officials of the military unit.

The military prosecutor's office of the Kherson garrison of the Southern region of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 425 (negligent attitude towards military service) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

At the same time, during the investigation it was established that these helicopters had already been sold by the Ministry of Defense to this enterprise in 2010 as surplus military equipment unsuitable for use.

“These actions of the “smart businessmen” caused damage to the state in the amount of about 12,7 million hryvnia, and military officials face up to seven years in prison,” the report says.

Let us remind you that it was previously reported that the Ministry of Defense bought its own decommissioned parachutes for 12 million hryvnia.
