Shuster's show should be closed for inciting hatred, - political scientist
Kyiv, February 21 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The Shuster Live program should have been closed long ago for inciting hatred towards part of Ukrainian society.
This is how Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, commented on the recent incident with the program.

Let us remind you that recently Shuster Live was broadcast by two Ukrainian TV channels – “112” and “24”. After the opinion of Russian journalist Maxim Shevchenko was voiced in one of the broadcasts, contrary to the official position of Kyiv, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting issued a warning to the 112 channel, which broadcast the program. In turn, the 24 TV channel avoided the warning by refusing further cooperation with Savik Shuster.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky said that journalists (including Russian ones) called him about this with a request to comment on the attacks on such a wonderful program.
“And I say, it’s great - this program should have been closed a long time ago,” the political scientist shared the details of these conversations. – There is always one point of view (at that time I didn’t know that Maxim Shevchenko was on the air). I was deeply satisfied with this decision, since the program worked to incite hatred towards part of the Ukrainian population. I have long said that it should be closed together with the main sponsor of this program, Levochkin. It’s good that there is no such program, but it’s bad that there are no others where you could listen to sane people discuss the fate of the country.”
According to the expert, 99 percent of Ukrainian media do not reflect an alternative point of view.
“And when by chance this appeared in Shuster’s hands, all the dogs were unleashed on him, to my deep satisfaction,” summed up Mikhail Pogrebinsky.
