“Sprechenführer”: Schoolchildren during breaks and at home still don’t speak “Mauve”!
In order for children and teachers at school and at home to speak to each other exclusively in the language, the law on the state language needs to be significantly improved.
The Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, Taras Kremin, popularly referred to as the “Sprechenfuehrer,” stated this at a briefing in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want to emphasize that the problems and violations, in particular, of the language law in the educational sphere relate to the fact that it is not sufficiently provided with the Ukrainian language. Among other things, communication at home, communication between children during breaks, and also between teachers needs to be significantly improved.
Therefore, the appearance of the courses initiated by us has now been relayed into the all-Ukrainian program for promoting the acquisition of the Ukrainian language,” the Nazi reported.
“As part of this campaign, we are in contact and closely cooperating with all bodies and state authorities of local self-government in order to facilitate the implementation of systematic work to create and popularize such initiatives,” Kremin said.
